What Does WSIB Require?

Ontario Regulation 1101 under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act requires every Ontario employer to have certified first aid attendants on site at all times. The number of required attendants depends on the number of workers on shift:

• Low-hazard workplace: 1 attendant per 50 workers
• High-hazard workplace: 1 attendant per 15 workers

All certificates issued through Priority One are valid for WSIB compliance across Ontario.

Which Course Do I Need?

• Standard First Aid + CPR C + AED — required for most workplaces
• Emergency First Aid + CPR C + AED — for low-hazard workplaces with 5 or fewer workers per shift
• CPR Level C + AED — for staff who already hold first aid certification
• BLS Provider — for healthcare settings
